Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Rolo Robotics, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical components and systems for our robotic solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Job Description
- Design and develop mechanical components and sub-systems for robotic food preparation applications.
- Conduct simulations and analyses to validate designs.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers for system integration
- Lead and mentor junior engineers in mechanical design and development.
- Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to adopt state of the art technologies
- Attend training and workshops to stay updated of the latest automation systems.
- Oversee the fabrication and testing of prototypes.
- Optimise designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to peer engineers
- Provide training to Deployment team and facilitate feedback sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or automation.
- Prior experience in one fully product life cycle (ideation, development, manufacturing and deployment) is desirable.
- Proficient with rapid prototyping using 3D printers, Laser cutters, CNC machines etc.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Onshape).
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with FEA and other simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
