What you'll do:
As a DevOps Lead (12-months Contract), you will play a pivotal role in envisioning and preparing the future information systems of our client. You will be responsible for implementing all necessary tools to manage the environments, continuous integration, continuous delivery and process execution. Your role will involve administrating environments from assembly to production, including infrastructure implementation and operational usage. You will also execute maintenance operations, delivery and environment monitoring. As part of your responsibilities, you will operate as L3 on non-production environments for delivery teams and also on production for support teams.
- Implement all necessary tools to manage the environments, continuous integration, continuous delivery and process execution
- Administrate environments from assembly to production, including infrastructure implementation and operational usage
- Execute maintenance operations, delivery and environment monitoring
- Operate as L3 on non-production environments for delivery teams and also on production for support teams
- Participate in the automation of deployment solutions
- Facilitate coordination between program developers and infrastructure engineers
- Ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of the CI-CD pipeline
- Provide investigation help while fostering knowledge sharing with team members
- Document processes and ensure they are properly followed
- Ensure high standard delivery to production
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the DevOps Lead (12-months Contract) role will bring a wealth of experience in software development or within a DevOps team. You will have at least 5 years of experience in Java/J2EE development, along with extensive knowledge of Jenkins, GIT (GitLab), Ansible, and GitLAb. Your experience with DevOps methodology & tools like Jenkins, GIT (GitLab), Ansible, Docker/ Kurbernetes, CICD pipeline, Java dev context for the tooling, Database or Big Data storage systems, Grafana / Prometheus / Alert Manager / ELK / Kibana, Jira etc., will be highly valued. A basic understanding of finance and investment banking, especially Market Risk, is also desirable.
- At least 8 years in Software development or DevOps team
- At least 5 years in Java/J2EE development
- At least 5-year experience with Jenkins, GIT (GitLab)
- At least 3-year experience in Ansible
- At least 3-year experience in GitLAb
- Experience with DevOps methodology & tools like Jenkins, GIT (GitLab), Ansible, Docker/ Kurbernetes, CICD pipeline, Java dev context for the tooling, Database or Big Data storage systems, Grafana / Prometheus / Alert Manager / ELK / Kibana, Jira etc.
- Experience of grid computing
- Basic understanding of finance and investment banking especially Market Risk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both team mates and management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
