Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician performs routine monitoring and inspection, troubleshooting and rectification, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of critical facilities (effluent treatment plant, RO water generation plant and air compressor system) and process equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) / Work Instructions (WIs).
He/she conducts maintenance work for process equipment and records performed maintenance and inspection work as part of the Integrated Systems (Quality, Environmental and Safety) record keeping requirements. He/she may specialise in Electrical, Mechatronics or instrumentation and control related-maintenance work.
He/she is a member of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) and supports continuous improvement projects for the plant.
Responsibilities:
Administer Workplace Safety and Health and Environmental Management System
• Comply with WSH and EMS systems
• Participate in activity-based risk assessments
• Apply risk control measures to ensure work activities are carried out safely
• Ensure contractors comply with company’s WSH and EMS standards and practices
Manage emergency responses and crisis
• Respond to emergencies as a Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) member
Perform inspection and maintenance work
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inspection and maintenance work
• Assist in root cause analysis of equipment failure
• Perform plant preventive and corrective maintenance on process equipment and systems
• Perform process equipment and system troubleshooting in Electrical and Mechanical rectification
• Perform routine monitoring and inspection of process equipment and systems
• Perform testing and commissioning of new and/or modified process equipment and systems
• Record and maintain maintenance and inspection work records
Support facility and utility operations
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance works according to quality and safety standards, procedures and regulations
• Conducts technical investigation in response to fault calls
• Complete documentation on procedures and schedules of maintenance works
• Assist Senior Technician or Supervisor in managing consumable and non-consumable inventory when required
• Liaise with third party service providers on maintenance or repair works
• Record preventive and corrective maintenance works on existing reporting forms
Requirements:
· Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree in Electrical or Mechatronic discipline
· More than 3 years working in engineering firm or manufacturing maintenance environment
· Team player, Problem solving skill, Multitasking and communicates effectively with others
