The People team plays a crucial organisational role in Shopee and SeaMoney by channelling important resources to key functions in the company. People are key to Shopee’s and SeaMoney’s growth, and as our business expands, so does the need to develop and support our employees.
Job description:
- Analyse current and future business needs and recommend new initiatives and processes to ensure continuous improvements in the team’s objectives, productivity and development
- Partner with leaders and line managers to provide thought and solutions in day-to-day people matters and long-term organisation plans in the following domains: recruitment planning, career planning, talent management, learning and development, coaching, compensation and rewards, employee relations, recognition programs, and strategic development for cross-border business teams
- Manage complex Human Resource (HR) initiatives at both hands-on and strategic levels to deliver best-in-class HR programs across different offices
- Provide HR judgement and insights on employees at various stages: hiring, talent evaluation and talent appraisal
- Ensure a high level of employee engagement through effective monitoring of the “pulse” of the employees
- Managing employee relations and performance-related discussions and challenges with relevant teams and leaders
- Champion and incorporate our culture and values in all aspects of our work and play a strategic HR partner role with Head of Departments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of HR related working experience, preferably in technology or internet company environment
- Minimum 4 years of experience as HR Business Partner, with experiences managing teams across different geographical locations
- Experience leading complex HR projects across different domains and overseeing end-to-end implementation
- Strategic thinking: Quickly evaluates situations, combines strong business judgement and people intuition to reach well-founded decisions
- Able to work at pace while maintaining appropriate attention to detail and standards
- Proactive and collaborative
- Comfortable to work with ambiguity and empowerment
- Confident communicator, bilingual in English and Mandarin to facilitate cross-border discussions and collaborations with business teams based in Singapore and China
