- Lead Instrumentation Engineer for Design of Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Projects.
- Leading a Team of Engineers and Designers to execute the Basic Engineering Design & Detail Engineering Design of DCS System, F&G Systems, ESD Systems, TAS System, TGS System & MMS System, CCTV System, PAGA System, Telephone System and Fire Alarm System for Oil Terminal & Oil Refineries Projects.
- Co-ordination with client, conducting meeting if required to speed up the client/consultant’s approval for above basic design drawings/documents. Supporting the procurement in evaluating the supplier’s quotations and placement of orders.
- Development of subordinates by leading them in detail engineering activities for project. Discussions with team members to make them understand the project specifications and issuance of deliverables/drawings as per agreed dates in EDCL to meet the project schedule.
- Preparation of complete detail Instrumentation engineering schedule consisting of various stages such as IDC, IFA and IFC deliverables and documents related to procurement and to align it with project schedule.
- Preparation of Design Basis, Specification of Field Instruments, Data sheets, Preparation and reviewing of PCS, ESD and TGS Database, I/O Index, control narratives, cause and Effect chart for PCS & ESD.
- Discussions with vendors to freeze the final requirements as per specifications. Reviewing vendor drawings to ensure that they are in line with project specifications meeting all the technical requirements.
- Interface Management with Lead Engineers, Client, Contractors, Vendors, Government Agencies and Certification agencies
- Preparation, Monitoring and Control Engineering Document Control List and expedite for delay / approvals / resolution of open issues
- Review and Ensures that all works are carried out in accordance with project specification. Maintain Design integrity and quality within the Project Engineering Team
- Preparing Engineering schedule and Engineering man hours estimation to meet project requirements.
- Preparation and reviewing of instrument drawings, I/O wiring diagrams, Layout drawings, Installation details, JB Termination details, cable schedule and Loop Diagrams.
- Checking the piping layouts, Isometrics, SPR 3D for the location of all field instruments and suggest providing accessibility for all field instruments.
- Preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation and reviewing of Commercial Bid Evaluation.
- Field Engineering Support Activities to complete the task in accordance with the project schedule.
- Preparing the Instrument Cable Trench and Tray Routing Layout Drawings.
