About Grasshopper Asset Management
Grasshopper Asset Management, a subsidiary of Grasshopper, is expanding and seeking an exceptional candidate to join the Equities Trading Team.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, a passion for financial markets, and the ability to develop and implement complex models. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to grow and develop their skills in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
As a key member of the Equities Trading Team, you will:
- Create high quality predictive signals using large datasets
- Combine said signals into models
To achieve these 2 objectives, you will:
- Develop a strong understanding of the market structure of various exchanges
- Identify statistical patterns and opportunities by leveraging complex data
- Share and discuss research results, methodologies and processes with other researchers
We'd love for you to have:
- A Master’s or PHD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning or Deep Learning.
- Proficiency with at least one major programming or scripting language (e.g. C++, Java, Python).
- Strong communication skills and eagerness to interact with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and expertise.
- A strong interest in financial markets and trading.
- Excellent reasoning ability and strong mathematical aptitude.
