Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer hardware (including servers, PCs, laptops and mobile devices), software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Perform and troubleshoot hardware/software installations, configurations, and updates
- Repair and replace equipment as necessary, troubleshoot on technical issues (Wi-Fi, access points, laptops, emails, etc.) to ensure functionality
- Respond and resolve in a timely manner to service issues and requests, update employees on the status of their service requests
- Monitor and maintain IT systems, networks and telecommunications services, ensuring all aspects are operating efficiently, optimally, and cost effectively
- Review and assess hardware and software (procurement process, physical control and maintenance) and Audio Visual (AV) Systems and recommend appropriate purchases
- Manage communications and working relationships between IT and other divisions / departments within the organisation as well as with external IT service providers
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to identify, evaluate, deploy and maintain optimal cloud solutions
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for all areas of information technology to assure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance and with standard operating procedures
- Manage annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Prepare accurate and timely reports, develop technical SOPs/workflows and policies
- Plan and execute initiatives to enable the Company to achieve its objectives through the effective use of technology; Serve as technical lead or project manager for system implementation projects
- Develop, implement and maintain the Company’s business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Ensure security of IT assets, data backup and recovery, network access, backup systems; Supervise audits to verify the security of internal and external systems
- Responsible for information security and file management (like file archival etc)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology /Engineering / Computer Science or related
- Minimum 3 years of proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar role
- Proficient in Windows and MacOS and associated hardware, networks and systems
- Experience with basis programming and website design is an added advantage
- Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Experience in cloud infrastructure and solutions
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical support, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Good communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as a team
- Able to be on standby after office hours to resolve systems related incidents
