Job Scope:
- Execute surgical procedures meticulously in a sterile environment, adhering strictly to aseptic principles.
- Coordinate and organize surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables based on daily surgical schedules and surgeon preferences.
- Perform thorough instrument counts before, during, and after surgeries to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Safely handle sharps and manage contaminated waste materials in accordance with safety protocols.
- Assist in providing anesthesia care for general, regional, and deep sedation procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Fulfill responsibilities in scrubbing, circulating, and post-operative patient care, maintaining high standards of nursing practice throughout.
- Provide comprehensive pre and post-operative patient support, addressing their physical and emotional needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist in the transfer and cleaning of patients in the recovery area, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and infection control standards in the operating theatre and associated areas.
- Manage Operating Theatre facilities efficiently, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available and properly maintained.
- Assist in the sanitation and organization of the operating room, contributing to a safe and efficient surgical environment.
- Fulfill duties associated with being a Scrub Nurse, demonstrating competence and diligence in all tasks.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the supervising healthcare team.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma/Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Hold current registration as a Nurse with the SNB, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare operating theatre settings, with a focus on orthopedic surgery preferred.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of surgical preparation and execution.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues and healthcare professionals.
