The Assistant Banquet Operations Manager assists the Banquet Operations Manager in supervising the overall operation, ensuring that service provided meets and exceeds guest’s expectation. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Assist the Banquet Operations Manager to plan, organize and control the Banquet functions held within and outside the Hotel.
- From the Banquet Event Order, he contacts the Executives involved to ensure that such Banquet Preparation are being made and expedite such guests requirements.
- Attends and supervises all functions held within the Hotel.
- Briefs the Banqueting staff on the requirements of each function as stated in the Event Order and checks on such preparations to ensure that all requirements are conformed with.
- Liaise with the client in any special requirements and handles any complaints that are directed to him.
- Supervises and coordinates in liaison with the Banquet Operations Manager, Executive Chef and Catering Sales Manager on the events setups and beverage arrangement.
- Assists the Banquet Operations Manager in the preparation of Inspection Checklists, Department Reports and other reports that are so requested from time to time.
- Attends the daily F&B briefing chaired by the Director of Food and Beverage in the absence of the Banquet Operations Manager.
Job Requirements
- Thorough knowledge in Banquet Operations and Guest Service in the Hotel. Effective executioner in Operational Planning and Control. A Leader and Motivator.
- Proactive, innovative with in depth Food & Beverage, Banquet and market knowledge.
- Self-motivated and energetic.
- Inspiring and people person.
- Ability to work long hours under pressure.
