Position Overview:

The Storeman is responsible for managing the inventory and ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products used in the installation and maintenance of security systems such as CCTV and card access systems.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment.

- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts and inventory discrepancies.

- Ensure all materials are stored securely and in an organized manner to prevent damage and loss.

2. Order Fulfillment:

- Prepare and pack orders for shipment to clients and installation sites.

- Coordinate with the installation and service teams to ensure timely delivery of required materials.

- Process and document returns of defective or unused materials.

3. Logistics Coordination:

- Arrange for transportation and delivery of materials to various job sites.

- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage incoming and outgoing shipments.

4. Warehouse Maintenance:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

- Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment and tools.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.

- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, stock levels, and order fulfillment including Handing Over Job documents and Delivery Order.

- Use inventory management software (NAV) to track and manage stock levels.

6. Quality Control:

- Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications.

- Report any discrepancies or defects to the Management and take appropriate corrective actions.


Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in inventory management or logistics is a plus.

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably within the security systems industry.


Skills:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Proficiency with inventory management software and tools.

- Basic knowledge of CCTV and card access system components.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

- Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.

- Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive company vehicles as needed.


Work Environment:

- Primarily warehouse-based with occasional travel to job sites or supplier locations.

- May require working outside regular business hours to meet project deadlines or handle urgent shipments.
