Job Summary:
As a Childcare Centre Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for our children, staff, and families. You will be responsible for general cleaning duties throughout the centre, ensuring a welcoming and healthy atmosphere for all.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the daycare centre, including classrooms, play areas, common areas, restrooms, and kitchen (non-cooking duties).
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using appropriate cleaning products and techniques.
- Disinfect surfaces like tables, chairs, toys, and equipment regularly.
- Empty and clean wastebaskets, ensuring proper disposal of waste and recycling.
- Replenish soap, paper towels, and other supplies in restrooms and common areas.
- Report any cleaning or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, interacting with staff and families in a courteous manner.
- Be flexible and willing to assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of cleaning experience, preferably in a childcare setting or educational environment.
- A strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Physically able to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, stooping, and lifting.
- A passion for providing a clean and safe environment for children.
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary Range:
$1,500 - $1,600 per month
