Our client, a leading quality food provider and wholesaler, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as Production Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the production operation to operate in conditions that exceed company standards across all controls.
- Support the Head of Production to develop an understanding of the fiscal performance measures of production and monitor the daily/weekly/monthly achievement of these to ensure all processes are within financial controls.
- Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure the operation is smooth and meets the production schedule and achieve optimised production efficiencies.
- Lead and manage a team of production workers to meet the daily production targets.
- Conduct daily briefing to production workers including communication about production target, quality, and safety aspects, etc.
- Own responsibility for existing and new BOM recipe creation, liaise with production team, procurement and sales to understand the required specification and target costings, and works to achieve that with ongoing production.
- Ensure and maintain the raw materials, in-process products, and final product quality standards are in accordance standard specification.
- Maintain rolling production plans that maintain inventory within minimum and maximum limits and raw material forecasts are available for procurement to ensure availability of appropriate quantities available.
- Ensure full compliance to operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, BizSafe, Halal, HACCP, FSSC 22000 Standards.
- Monitor overall production output levels, manage inventory, track stock safety levels and conduct regular stock taking.
- Review production documents daily (Job order, Batch record, incoming/outgoing/ temperature check sheets, etc.)
- Identify potential concerns and be proactive to work with the production team to resolve any issues.
- Liaise with QA department on all quality related activities, standards and projects. Ensure all quality standards are being exceeded in the operational remit.
- Coordinate with QA team to participate in internal and external audits.
- Actively engage in audit feedback review to maintain a continual improvement approach.
- Work with the Head of Production and production managers to contribute ideas and solutions for continuous improvement across all operations, including hygiene standards work procedure and efficiency, cost reduction, staff welfare and others.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma in Business, Supply Chain or any related disciplines
- Minimum 4-5 years of proven experience as production manager
- Experience & knowledge in production planning and managing production operations
- Experience in butchery and knowledge of meat cuts will be preferred
- Familiar with F&B certifications (Halal, FSSC 22000, HACCP, BizSafe) will be an advantage

- Location: West
- Working hours: 5.5 days work week
- Salary: Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications.
