Job Scope
The role will involve:
- Supporting internal and external parties in developing construction robotic applications (e.g., simulation, robot teaching, jig & fixture design, equipment setup, conduct test runs, etc).
- Proper documentation of project work, including but not limited to technical reports, meeting minutes, drawings, photos, and videos of test results.
- Communicating timely to all stakeholders.
- Demonstrating robotic systems for internal and external visitors.
- Maintaining robotic equipment in laboratory according to manuals.
- Studying latest trends for construction robotic technology and sharing knowledge during project discussions.
Requirements
1. Practical experience with the following technical areas:
a. 6 axis industrial robot manipulators (preferred brand: ABB)
b. Autonomous mobile robots
c. Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as C, C++, and Python
d. Familiarity with Linux and/or ROS
2. Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
3. Able to interpret and understand technical drawings.
4. Willingness to challenge the unknown.
5. Capable of working independently with good work ethics.
6. Good to have but not compulsory:
a. Knowledge of construction processes
b. Understanding of legal documents such as research agreements
