- It is an opportunity for an experienced VP, Investment Services to join their team in a Business analyst/Project manager capacity to support their system migration projects
- This will start off as a 12 months contract
- Hybrid work arrangement
Principal Responsibilities
Direct report to Head of Investment Services, in supporting the delivery of end-to-end systems and data migration for Investment Services.
Review and enhance workflow processes undertaken in Investment Services to improve efficiency, mitigate risks of errors, with sound internal controls that are in line with bank's standards.
- Support the business and project team in managing and completion of project milestones.
- Keep business and project team up-to-date on project related issues, matters and resolutions timely
- Work collectively with business delivery lead, other senior members of Investment Services team and project manager to engage key system SMEs, understanding system behaviors and transforming gathered information into future model and processes.
- Support consolidation of business requirements and corresponding business analysis process to ensure all business requirements are captured and addressed.
- Review data migration and function scope document against business requirement document to ensure coverage was properly done.
- Map and integrate UAT test plans for different systems.
- Review and present UAT test cases
- Support the UAT execution, review UAT reports format and delivery
- Collaborate with other project team members to ensure Investment Services functions and reports life cycle are covered and to address any gaps.
- Collaborate with other project team members to integrate reports and data information into the revised SOPs
- Engage in report/file related features in system demonstration and training for Investment Services operational users.
- Support business delivery lead in managing multiple project workstreams while having the opportunity to lead and drive assigned workstreams.
- Work collectively with business delivery lead in driving key change management outcome
- Support pre-production activities, Day one post implementation as well as Day two lifecycle management.
- Gain full understanding of current state of the Investment Services system, data and processes in the daily and monthly lifecycle of ILP products.
- Minutes taking and documentation on all project related meetings
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimally 7-10 years’ experience in data and system management or business analysis preferably within the insurance industry covering Investment Operations/Services functions or prior experience with Investment-linked Policies
- Policy admin background will be a strong advantage
- Proven experience in co-ordination among multiple workstreams and stakeholders in system replacement/enhancement and data migration projects.
- Prior knowledge in End User Computing setup and management.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous data and process flows.
- Ability to work under pressure as well as tight deadline.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload while working in an agile manner and deliver quality output.
- Comfortable and able to independently make sound suggestions in problem-solving.
- Strong senior stakeholders’ management skills.
- Strong risk and control mindset.
- Mentoring skills in coaching junior staff
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel preferably with macros or VBA knowledge.
- Strong data governance and management skillset and knowledge including the concept of data dictionary and library
- Well versed in tools such as but not limited to Microsoft Visio, Confluence, Jira etc. is a strong advantage
