Job Summary
This role reports to the Finance Director responsible for managing finance operations and reporting for local and overseas entities, including statutory compliance, internal control, treasury, financial analysis and reporting. The Controller supports the development and implementation of financial strategies to meet the objectives of the company and is responsible for implementation and enhancement of policy, procedures and ICT systems to add value to the business.
Key responsibilities
•Oversee financial accounting team of 6 people on daily finance operations, monthly reporting and consolidation.
•Lead the Group’s Statutory, IFRS and local GAAP compliance for all entities. Manage audit process, transfer pricing, tax compliance and Corporate secretariat matters.
•Ensure compliance with company and group’s policies and procedures; Develop and implement new policies & procedures, and internal controls with best practice.
•Support ICT system implementation, introduce automation to workflows to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
•Drive working capital management and cashflow forecast with key stakeholders. Liaise with banking partners on treasury matters.
•Review and deliver financial reports with timeliness and accuracy. Highlight key issues, risks, and business drivers and provide insights and actionable recommendations for decision making. Develop new and improve existing financial reports.
•Manage Capex commitment, tracking and records.
•Collaborate across teams and business-partner with stakeholders to align business and financial goals.
•Manage, mentor, develop and motivate team members.
•Other duties as assigned, including evaluation and establishment of new entities.
•This role may require occasional travel.
Requirements:
●Qualified finance professional with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including managing finance department.
●Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial business acumen.
●A team player with good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
●Proactive, meticulous, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
●Superior MS Office skills. Knowledge of Hyperion and Microsoft Dynamic Navision experience would be an advantage but not necessary.
●Experience in fast-paced event/project management industry, supported start-up or growth stage of business a plus.
