About our client: Our client is a homegrown engineering and construction company.
About the role:
- Manage the Payroll in ensuring that all staff are paid accurately and that payslips, statutory returns and reports are produced and validated in a timely manner
- Undertake day-to-day payroll activities to ensure practical knowledge and smooth running of the service, enabling the provision of cover on all payrolls
- Validate and reconciliation of post payroll output and the loading of costing files to the General Ledger
- Manage all monthly and year-end statutory returns
- Work closely with Finance to ensure that processes are aligned and work effectively
- Liaise with internal and external Auditors, assisting as necessary and providing any required information
- Ensure payroll records are updated in a timely manner by reviewing changes in exemptions, deductions, and department/ division transfers.
- Conduct various payroll reconciliations and troubleshoots any issues that arise.
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
About you:
- Highly organized, task focused and very meticulous
- Procedure knowledge in extensive payroll experience and very process oriented with the ability to put in good controls for the entire end-to-end process
- Technological skills required include experience and strong in IT systems and payroll software
- Diploma / Certificate in Human Resource Management or Business Management
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Excellent numerical and communication skills
