Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Maintain essential IT operations, including server and client operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
2. Provide IT infrastructure services and support to internal and external customers. This includes installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks, as well as managing computer operating systems.
3. Lead and direct high-pressure projects, ensuring uncompromising quality and meeting stringent deadlines.
4. Be able to work day or night shifts if required.
5. Be able to work weekends or public holidays if needed.
6. Present detailed reports and provide effective solutions for critical issues promptly.
7. Exhibit unwavering flexibility, working extended hours, weekends, and frequently traveling between sites across Singapore.
8. Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
Requirements:
1. 6+ years of hands-on experience in IT Systems, with at least 4 years in a high-pressure role.
2. Minimum Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science.
3. Proven ability to thrive under extreme pressure and maintain composure in challenging situations.
4. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills for effective team management.
5. In-depth knowledge and experience in managing file systems and partitions, logical volume management (LVM), user and group administration, troubleshooting, job automation, enhanced user security with SUDO, and backup and restore.
6. Experience in installing and configuring Microsoft / Linux operating systems, monitoring servers, writing Linux scripts, and performing troubleshooting steps.
7. Must be able to travel to sites using public transport if company transport is not provided.
8. Willingness to travel extensively and work in varied environmental conditions.
