Principle Responsibilities
Area of Responsibility
1. Development of Annual Audit Plan
Key Activities/Elements
- Oversees the collection of information from the relevant personnel and internal audit department of each business unit, as well as from the relevant departments in DLIAP regarding the risk recognition, control status and issues of the assigned business company.
- Directs the investigation of the regulatory trends of each country in the region.
- Heads the risk assessment of business units in cooperation with the internal audit department of each company based on the collected information.
- Oversees the development of an annual audit plan and propose to Head Office.

2. Implementing of Annual Audit Plan
Key Activities/Elements
- Oversees the implementation of the abovementioned annual audit plan.
- This involves leading the development of auditing perspective and techniques in view of the preliminary survey, holding hearings with relevant personnel, conducting onsite audits, review working papers and assess the results with close communication with Head Office and audit firms, and also to oversee the audit results report in accordance with the direction from the head of the department in Head Office.

3. Monitoring of Business Unit

- Directs the continuous monitoring of the governance, risk management and control of each business company in the region in accordance with monitoring rules formulated by the HQ.

- Oversees the monitoring/assessment of internal audit function of Business Unit and directs necessary support
- Facilitation of communication with internal audit function of Business Unit

5. Reporting to Head Office
Key Activities/Elements
- Regular reporting to the relevant departments in Head Office on the overview, issues and improvement measures of the internal audit system in the region.

- Guidance of project team(s), keeping projects on track, meeting budget goals and deadlines.
- Facilitation of conversation with all involved parties and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree and above
Experience: Audit experience in life insurance companies
- At least 20 years’ experience in the life insurance company operating globally, including more than 5 years of experience as Director or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a financial industry listed in world’s major stock market (one New York, NASDAQ, Tokyo, Shanghai, Euronext, London) as Director or equivalent in the last 3 years, overseeing the entire department or overseeing whole overseas entity.
- More than 5 years of experience in HQ of a financial institution listed in world’s major stock market (one New York, NASDAQ, Tokyo, Shanghai, Euronext, London), being in a department in charge of credit control / investment / risk management. Successful candidate is required to possess experience of managing credit control / investment / risk management over Asia Pacific region.
- Have financial acumen and expertise in the different financial indicators such as firm’s assets, product lines, regions, markets, regulations and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills across multiple stakeholders to facilitate appropriate functional decision-making.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and guidelines related to life insurance business.
