Project Engineer
Work location: Singapore and Malaysia
Task Management
- Assisting the engineer team with mechanical design and maintenance tasks.
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems and production line.
- Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment and line breakdowns.
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.
- Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
- Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
People Management
- Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced technicians
- Provide leadership and assistance to less experienced technicians and apprentices
- Support training needs of the department and provide expertise to apprentices and trainees
- Provide a communication point for the team and provide a proactive feedback process between the technicians and management
- Champion high team standards
Relationship Management
- Assist visiting engineers when necessary
- Work, liaise and utilize good effective communication with a range of internal departments, external suppliers, service providers and customers.
- Ensure that contractors are utilized in accordance with company procedures
- Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
- Act as first point of contact for production and help provide a proactive feedback process between maintenance and other department
Requirements:
- Candidate should ideally have a relevant mechanical or/and engineering background and experience
- Singaporeans/PRs/Malaysians are welcomed to apply
