An EMT, or Emergency Medical Technician, responds to emergency situations by stabilizing patients before taking them to a medical care facility. The main duties include transporting patients to hospitals, driving emergency vehicles safely and responsibly and quickly responding to calls made by Dispatchers.
EMT Duties and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Manages performs and/or assists with patient’s registration, procedure and discharge
• Collates medical reports for filling and forwarding results to patients via emails or posts
• Deals with enquiries to provide non-clinical advice and information on services
• Drives the ambulance,ensure safety and comfort of all passenger at all times
• Utilizes safe lifting, and handling techniques or equipment, i.e. wheelchair, stretcher and scoop while ensuring patient’s safety and comfort
• Transports medical team by ambulance to emergency locations, hotel calls, house calls and etc
• Performs first aid and emergencies
• Oversees clinic cleanliness and maintenance
• Knowledge in operating ambulance stretcher
• Provide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds.
• Provide life support care, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), when needed.
• Assess a patient’s conditions and provide initial treatment.
• Determine whether a patient needs to go to an ER or a trauma center.
• Communicate with other emergency services.
Job Requirements:
• GCE ‘O’ Level / Higher NITEC in Office Skills/ Business Skills
• Possess class 3 driving license (international / singapore) with no traffic record
• Minimum 1 year experience in a healthcare institutions or emergencies service
• Standard basic first aid certificate (preferably)
• Willing to work 3 rotating shifts.
• Contract convertible to permanent based on performance
