What You’ll Do:
1. Strategic Design Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to define the creative vision and translate it into a successful design strategy.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitor analysis, and consumer preferences.
- Develop and champion innovative design concepts that elevate the brand and resonate with the target audience.
2. Team Management & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance, nurturing individual talents and design expertise.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
3. Design & Development Expertise:
- Refine and polish design concepts, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics, market trends, and wearability.
- Create comprehensive design briefs for 3D designers, outlining specifications, materials, and technical details.
- Collaborate with 3D designers to translate concepts into digital renderings, incorporating revisions and feedback.
- Develop detailed tech packs for production, including material specifications, dimensions, and construction methods.
- Partner with the Product Development team to streamline production processes and ensure quality standards.
4. Quality Assurance & Collaboration:
- Conduct thorough quality checks of design files and tech packs, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Work with the quality assurance team to uphold consistent quality standards throughout the production cycle.
- Foster open communication with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, production) to gather feedback and ensure design alignment.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent experience a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in jewelry design or a similar creative role.
- Proven track record of leading and inspiring design teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative and commercially viable jewelry design concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and construction techniques.
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Rhino, CAD/CAM) and technical drawing skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
