Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary support to the BME Head, overseeing the BME team's activities across a spectrum of programs including commissioning, breakdown and preventive maintenance, inventory management, and equipment decommissioning within the medical facility.
- Collaborate closely with relevant user groups to develop precise medical equipment specifications for RFQ/RFP processes. Evaluate RFQ/RFP submissions and offer recommendations grounded in technical compliance.
- Review and enhance existing programs to minimize operational disruptions and ensure continuous safety compliance of medical equipment.
- Strategize, execute, and coordinate training programs for the BME team and pertinent user groups, ensuring proficiency in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ensure that all works adhere to the hospital's prescribed standards and practices, including broader quality initiatives within the department.
- Provide support to the BME Head in coordinating services for medical equipment projects, working alongside DevSec, consultants, vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with user departments and equipment suppliers to oversee equipment installation and proficient project management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in biomedical engineering or a similar role, with a comprehensive understanding of medical equipment maintenance and management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical specifications and ensure compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in healthcare equipment management.
