The Department acts as the centralised control point for credit matters in MUFG SG. The Department’s primary responsibilities are credit risk monitoring and control to ensure the overall soundness of the credit portfolio and reporting credit-related matters to MAS, Branch Management or Tokyo Head Office. Other functions include organizing credit committee meetings, maintenance of credit related rules and procedures, conducting credit training and study sessions for credit and marketing officers and KYC planning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal credit portfolio reports, regulatory reports / surveys as applicable
- Responsible for assisting in the monitoring of the Branch’s credit portfolio and identifying potential credit exposures in order to mitigate credit risk.
- Prepare and analyse provision figures under SGAAP/IFRS9 framework
- Assist in formulating scenarios for credit stress test, conduct stress test and analyse the stress test results
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders on credit portfolio matters
- Presentation of portfolio trends/reviews, stress test results and other credit-related topics to Management during monthly Credit Committee meetings and other internal Forums.
- Participate in projects relating to the implementation/revision of regulatory or internal reporting
- Support enquiry from business and other stakeholders in relation to credit regulatory reporting and portfolio management
- Support internal and external audits within the department by preparing documentation as required
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in corporate credit related reporting/management reporting (Analyst)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate credit related reporting/management reporting and Stress Test (AVP)
- Knowledge in Banking products and credit risk
- Familiarity with MAS IWST (credit), MAS credit-related reports/surveys and IFRS framework will be an advantage
- Experience in using Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Good analytical skills to interpret large and complex data sets and ability to identify implications of data sets.
- Committed and able to handle time-sensitive reports / projects
- Good communication and presentation skills with ability to influence others using complex data or analysis to support line of reasoning.
- Able to work in teams as well as standalone
- Good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others.
- Experience: Analyst (min. 1-2 years); AVP (at least 3 years of relevant experience)
