What will you do?
The Cloud Infrastructure Consultant shall be involved in application infrastructure support and operation hosted in both Government Data Centre (GDC) and Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).
- Manages the infrastructure services that enable the application systems environment in patch management, asset management, etc. for Systems.
- Supports in application architecture design, integration and acceptance, and infrastructure performance testing.
- Supports Incident and Problem Management on areas not covered in standard operating procedures.
- Experience in tracking cases and following up on problem resolution.
- Experience in planning, managing, and deploying Cloud services with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other CSPs.
- Experience in system architecture, resource planning, infrastructure performance and system hosting environment from server hardware till OS layer (including Virtualization technology and Storage) in support of new applications.
- Experience in using generic automation and orchestration platforms for Infrastructure Automation tasks (e.g. Scripts/Ansible/Terraforms).
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline and tools. (eg. Bamboo, GitLab, Azure DevOps, SHIP/HAT).
- Strong understanding of systems operations environment to ensure smooth and sustainable operations, including resiliency requirements.
- Strong understanding of Government Cloud IT Security Policy.
- Knowledge of scripting and programming in any scripting language: Powershell, Python, Perl, Shell + AWK, TCL, etc.) and communication protocols (REST, SNMP, SOAP, etc.)
- Certified in ITILv3, and preferably a certification in project management.
- Team player with strong organization and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate integrity and drive for excellence in work.
What are we looking for?
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Information Technology or related disciplines
- At least 8 years of experience in Data Centre, Cloud (AWS/Azure) and Servers & Infrastructure.
- Experience with Change Management / Service Request Management
- Problem / Incident Management, Good analytical, communications and writing skills, able to front users and articulate requirements.
- 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipeline with DevOps experience.
- 2 years of experience with automation scripting or Infrastructure as-Code (IaC).
- 2 years of experience with Agile Practices.
- 2 years of experience working on Singapore Government IT projects.
