Robotics Engineer, $5000/month, East area
Job Description:
- Refining prototype robot designs, overseeing commissioning, and orchestrating test deployment while providing insightful feedback to developers.
- Crafting software for control systems, diagnostics, and communications.
- Spearheading and executing robotics system upgrades, modifications, and integration of system components.
- Establishing validation criteria and methodologies for assessing robotics features and systems, ensuring they meet performance standards.
- Preparing software for production rollout.
- Coordinating with external vendors for procurement of robotics components and parts.
- Resolving integration issues encompassing software, calibration, sensors, configurations, and instrumentation.
- Conducting data collection and assessments of new sensors.
- Configuring networking infrastructure/devices to facilitate communication at test sites and within robot systems.
- Performing basic soldering and crimping tasks as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on Robotics.
- Professional experience of 3 years or more in robotics component integration, debugging, and validation; recent graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in software architecture design and object-oriented programming languages such as Python and C++.
- Sound understanding of ROS/ROS2 and Linux systems.
- Knowledge of PLC programming is advantageous.
- Familiarity with software development toolchains including version control, CI/CD, and validation processes.
- Thorough comprehension of communication protocols such as CAN/CANOpen, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and MQTT.
- Strong analytical skills
- Willingness to travel as required.
