Our client is a reputable company and is looking for a talent who is keen and willing to be stationed overseas in Papua New Guinea for a period of three years.
What is covered?
- Flight ticket, VISA, accommodation, food, and tax will be wholly taken care of by the company.
- You will be allowed to go back to your home country once (28days AL) or twice a year (14days AL each) upon 1 year completion of service.
You will be in charge of:
- Servicing heavy mining and construction equipment.
- Supervision of staff, providing quotes to customers, communicating the plan to the customer and staff, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring the
smooth operation of the business.
Other responsibilities
- Improve service department processes to optimize customer satisfaction and return on investment (ROI – the ratio of profit or money earned over the total cost of investment, including time, labor, parts etc.)
- Ensuring equipment for delivery to customers, for display or demonstration is set up and properly organized.
- Collaborate with the parts department or the parts department manager to order parts needed to complete service.
- Communicating with customers, and other internal departments to obtain details of work to be carried out, location, and time frames.
- Perform quality control and ensure service tickets (orders from customers for repairs or service on equipment) are delegated to the right team member based on skill level and equipment knowledge.
- Preparing the work order, clearly outlining the service problem in sufficient detail so that the Mechanical Technician may carry out the repair accurately and completely to the customer's satisfaction with a minimum of questions.
- Perform basic diagnosis of mining and construction equipment.
- Keeping a log of work orders, ensuring that the work orders are routed to the correct departments and are promptly and correctly closed for billing.
- Verifying, approving, and closing work orders and forwarding to the Administration.
- Completing all functions pertaining to the processing of warranty promptly.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the service department.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability of the service department
- Assists in the collection of past-due accounts.
- Purchase, Sales, and Logistics Coordination
- Grow service department sales while controlling expenses
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all service department staff
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
Requirement
- Degree or Certificate in the related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Service Manager in the Mining Machinery industry preferably from well-known in the industry such as Komatsu, Caterpillar, Hitachi, and XCMG.
- Ability to communicate well in writing and speaking in English.
- In-depth understanding of Heavy Machinery Functions and Parts
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience evaluating business performance and providing effective and accurate reports
- Product knowledge of heavy equipment used in mining and construction as well as truck and transport equipment.
- Strong time management and staff training skills
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Can work with minimum supervision
- Ability to analyze sales data and forecast demand
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Driving skills is a must
