Position Overview: Reporting to the General Manager, you are a strategic Manager of Membership Marketing and Communications to lead our efforts in engaging and communicating with our members, enhancing their experience, and promoting our brand effectively. This role requires a blend of marketing expertise, communication skills, and a deep understanding of member needs and preferences.
Job Description:
Membership Sales
- Research and develop a member acquisition strategy to meet membership sales objectives.
- Communicate information and intelligence (market trends/opportunities) for sales prospecting purposes, including the identification of new leads to reach out to new targeted prospects.
- Conduct trend and competitor analyses, study members' feedback to support recommendations to improve practices and overall member experience.
- Deliver membership reports, review, and analyze sales performance.
- Establish service operational standards to deliver efficient and excellent services to members.
- Develop and use data-driven analysis, tools, and reports to measure member satisfaction and retention.
- Drive partnerships in the community with the purpose of member acquisition, engagement, and community building.
Marketing and Communications
- Develop an annual marketing communications plan that supports the Club’s membership goals, brand objectives, and strategic focus.
- Drive strategies that support the Club’s brand positioning and reputation by leveraging marketing tools such as advertising, public relations, SEO/SEM, and social media marketing.
- Develop content for the Club’s digital touchpoints such as the website and social media.
- Craft strategies and activities that move consumers to the next stage of the consumer journey.
- Create strategies and sharpen tools to increase brand discovery, engagement, and dialogue.
- Drive member engagement and satisfaction through accurate, timely, and integral communications.
- Develop content and grow the following on all of the Club’s communication touchpoints, both traditional and digital.
- Support F&B, Sports & Recreation, and operations in creating promotions and activities that drive engagement and revenue.
- Act as a brand steward to ensure that the Club’s brand identity is interpreted accurately across all communication outputs.
- Responsible for publishing the Club’s bi-monthly newsletter, annual report, and promotion catalogue.
- Manage the feedback loop, including the annual Member Satisfaction Survey to ensure a superior member experience.
- Provide guidance on graphics design, photography for advertising, collateral, and public relations purposes, in line with F&B outlets requirements.
- Lead the team in developing digital marketing campaigns through SEO/SEM, social media marketing, and CRM.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience in member engagement, marketing, or communications, preferably in a membership-based organization or the hospitality industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and content management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in team leadership, mentorship, and collaboration.
