Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a pro-active and detail-oriented Logistics & Trade Support Executive to manage logistics and trade distribution activities for our Company. The Logistics & Trade Support Executive is responsible for coordinating with suppliers, shipping carriers, internal team and customers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers. The candidate should be resourceful, meticulous, possess strong organizational and communications skills as well as a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
Responsibilities
Logistics & Operation Coordination
- Coordinate and monitor the shipments of goods from suppliers to customers.
- Carry out shipment booking and liaise with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Source and negotiate of freight rates with shipping agents, forwarders and 3PL.
- Plan and optimize shipment routes to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
- Track and update shipment status, ensuring accurate and timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Resolve any transportation or distribution issues or delays promptly and escalate when needed.
- Ensure compliance with customs requirements (tariff classifications, customs clearance procedures, customs documents, international trade regulations).
Vendor and Client Relations
- Assist in managing relationships with vendors and clients, ensuring communication is clear and effective.
- Issue invoices to customers and handle invoices discrepancies with customer.
Planning & Trade Support
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to grow company’s profitability.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues in the logistics and trade processes.
- Monitor regulatory developments in the fields of shipping and customs.
- Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support and assist Account Manager for inquiries and quotations.
- Assist Account Manager on RFQ and coordinate reports as and when required.
- Perform any tasks assigned by Superior.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Attention to details – follows procedure accurately, carefully and completes documents and report accurately.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to derive actionable insights.
- Able to work pro-actively and independently, with maturity and a team player.
- Familiar with import/export regulations and customs procedures.
- Meticulous and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Flexible, can adapt to changing priorities and business requirements.
- Good customer relationship management skills.
- Able to communicate, read and write in Chinese with our Chinese suppliers and customers.
- Willing to work beyond regular work hours to address supplier, agent or customer inquiries.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or freight forwarding is an advantage.
