CONTEXT
Implementation of the Vallourec Internal Control Approach and Project with a focus on anti corruption controls
MAIN MISSION AND ACTIVITIES
The Internal Controller is in charge the South East Asia entities (VAPC, PTCT and its subsidiaries, VAM Far East, Serimax) and of supervising entities in China.
The SEA Internal Control Manager will be in charge of:
- the controls to be implemented and carried out by “level 1” (operations) in a way that is documented and sufficient to mitigate the risks;
- the implementation of the controls
- some “level 2” controls, where needed (“level 2” controls’s goal it to permanently monitor the quality of the “level 1” controls through periodic controls).
- the implementation of new procedures and updates, new tools (ERP, treasury..)
- trainings when and where needed
- the implementation of new procedures and updates, new business tools (ERP, treasury..)
- and advising on Internal Control action plan design
- IC action plan implementation progress
- with Internal Audit : is in charge of monitoring implementation of IA action plans
- reports to IC central all significant issues which may be identified during the course of his reviews, reports to central on action plans completion progress
- with local management to ensure IC awareness
- He/She will be also in charge of self-assessment campaigns in SEA. It includes a synthesis of answers to be presented to EH’s managers and to Corporate Internal control.
REPORTING:
Hierarchical to: Group Internal Director
TEAM
No direct team to manage.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- position reporting directly to Corporate
- allowing diversified contacts throughout the Group (worldwide, at all levels, with senior management as well as in mills and finance teams) and daily works with SSC teams.
- to communicate and coordinate with all VLR business lines/departments involved.
TRAVELLING
Regular travels throughout South East Asia (Indonesia/ Singapore)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Skills: he/she must have:
- SAP knowledge
- Communication skills
- Autonomy
- Rigor
- Dynamic mindset and “agile”
Experience:
- Previous experience (s) in internal control design and monitoring
- Experience as an internal auditor is considered
EDUCATION:
Master level
LINGUISTIC KNOWLEDGE
- English (fluent in writing and oral) is a must
- Bahasa
- Mandarin
