Job Description
- Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with local environmental, health, and safety regulations, including regulations set forth by the National Environment Agency (NEA), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard evaluations to identify potential environmental, health, and safety risks associated with power plant operations in Singapore. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, controls, and action plans to minimize incidents and injuries.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust EHS programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the unique requirements and risks of power plant operations in Singapore. Ensure alignment with industry best practices and corporate EHS standards.
- Develop and deliver engaging EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders in Singapore to promote awareness, compliance, and competency in EHS matters. Provide ongoing support and coaching to reinforce safe work practices and behaviors.
- Lead thorough investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses in Singapore. Identify root causes, contributing factors, and lessons learned. Develop recommendations and corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance. Prepare and submit incident reports to regulatory authorities as required.
- Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within the power plant operations in Singapore. Implement programs for waste management, emissions control, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship in accordance with local regulations and corporate sustainability goals.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for power plant operations in Singapore. Conduct drills, simulations, and tabletop exercises to test readiness and improve response capabilities in the event of emergencies or disasters.
Requirements
- Minimum WSH Level C or Degree in WSH.
- Certified Confined space assessor and Work at Height assessor.
- Certified WSHO & Fire safety manager
- Minimum 2 years Safety experience in utility/ manufacturing/ logistic industry/ marine industries only.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behaviour.
- Be a part of the CERT team and be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.
