about the job:
- Work on the development projects related to Operations and Finance Regulatory reporting as primary responsibility as well Operational Data Store for Wealth Management as a secondary role.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications by critically assessing the implementation approach in the IT system.
- Understand APAC business applications landscape, the key data producing systems, Front-to-bank flow to reporting system and apply the same to design the solutions.
- Give requirement walk-through to development team and support any queries and clarifications.
- Participate in reviews and meetings and provide updates on project progress.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that any risks and issues with assigned work are identified and highlighted to the relevant stakeholders on timely basis.
- Contribute to production stability and ensure timely communication to the stake holders.
- Review functional and architectural design with domain architect, debate on best possible design options and challenge status quo.
skills and experience required:
- IT BE experience in Finance & Operations reporting area e.g., MAS 610, DTCC Derivative Transactions Reports etc.
- 5 years of working in a financial institute, preferably Wealth Management.
- 2 years of experience with data onboarding and data migration related projects.
- Good grasp on writing SQL queries using joins and aggregations.
- Good MS excel skills to prepare data and reports and present to business stakeholders.
- Passionate about working in IT and designing robust and scalable Systems.
- Experience of regulatory reporting tools like AXIOM would be an advantage.
- Experience of BI/reporting tools like Jasper Reports, Power BI, Tableau etc. would be an advantage.
