• Total duration for engagement of temporary staff is capped at one year
You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of healthcare financing policies for cancer drug treatments.
This includes:
• Administration of discretionary Government assistance to eligible patients. You will be responsible for reviewing healthcare institutions’ claims for discretionary assistance for patients’ cancer drug treatments, before the funds are disbursed.
• Processing appeals for exceptional MediSave withdrawals. You will be responsible for drafting recommendations on whether to accede to appeals from patients to make exceptional MediSave withdrawals for their cancer drug treatments, and computing the applicable withdrawal quantums.
You will also need to collaborate and/or communicate with policy and clinical groups within the Ministry of Health, healthcare institutions, other public agencies, and members of the public in managing these appeals.
• Disseminating communications on changes to the cancer drug list. You will be responsible for consolidating changes to the list of cancer drug treatments applicable for financing coverage, and disseminating this to healthcare institutions and members of the public.
In addition, you will also be responsible for reviewing and administering some MediSave-related appeals.
This includes:
• Reviewing and processing MediSave appeals for non-immediate family members.
You will be responsible for assessing whether there are grounds for non-immediate family members to use their MediSave and processing such appeals.
• Review and processing MediSave appeals for the MediSave Maternity Package. You will be responsible for assessing whether there are grounds for the use of MediSave for certain predelivery and delivery expenses, and processing such appeals.
Min Deg with no work experience - $18.50 per hour
Requirements :
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is a pre-requisite.
• Empathy and communication skills would be an advantage.
