Editor, Biofuels & Net Zero – Asia Markets

We are looking for a driven, passionate, and resourceful Editorto join our editorial team in Singapore to cover the biofuels and energy transition markets including sustainable aviation fuel, green hydrogen and carbon markets.

You will lead a team of market reporters and work closely with other editorial members in the regions to provide price assessments, news coverage, maintaining and expanding the contact base, and attending and speaking at conferences. The editor will head the development of market coverage alongside the existing editorial team.

  • · Maintain quality of team’s market price assessments, and adhere to rigorous compliance standards; includes regular or backup market coverage, as needed.
  • · Engage with the industry to ensure a close understanding of market developments to ensure both methodology and the broader report remain relevant.
  • · Help direct, write and edit market commentaries, news, analysis and market outlooks.
  • · Ensure end-of-day publication of content to subscribers.
  • · Mentor editorial staff, and work with the leadership team to develop staff careers.
  • · Develop and maintain rapport with key contacts and liaise regularly with industry stakeholders (buyers, sellers, traders, brokers).
  • · Help market reporters develop new contacts within the market.
  • · Attend meetings, conferences, and industry events to build contacts, report on news and represent Argus in the industry.
  • · Help identify opportunities to expand Argus’ coverage of related market areas.

What we’re looking for in you

  • · An articulate graduate with a strong degree.
  • · 2+ years’ experience of managing market reporting teams within a Price Reporting Agency (PRA).
  • · Demonstrated leadership skills, including coordinating and mentoring team members around the world.
  • · Extensive experience in delivering breaking news, insightful market reports, and in-depth analytical articles.
  • · Ability to use data to generate stories and analysis using Excel is preferred.
  • · Background in biofuels markets preferred but not essential.
  • · Expertise in editorial processes including implementing and managing Quality Control and Editorial Standards.
  • · Understanding of price reporting methodology and compliance issues.
  • · A strong understanding of market supply and demand dynamics in commodities.
  • · Proven public speaking abilities. This position will be an internal and external ambassador of what we do and must be an accomplished and confident speaker.
  • · Excellent communication skills with ability to network and build contacts with industry executives.
  • · Proven internal and external training capabilities. This position will be responsible for ensuring a consistent approach to methodology and training within the teams.

Travel

Hours
