Job Description
As a Content Producer (Editorial), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the editorial functions of the Marketing Communications department. If you have passion to grow into a dedicated wordsmith, here is an exciting opportunity for you. The role will enable you to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the marketing efforts within a non-profit environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Publishing and Editorial Support: Contribute to publishing tasks, manage editorial resources and generate creative ideas for magazines, educational materials, books and children’s stories
- Content Creation: Engage in end-to-end content creation encompassing planning, researching, writing, editing and proofreading; Ensure quality and coherence of all written materials
- Collateral and Communications Support: Assist in copywriting, editing and proofreading for various collateral materials, educational materials, signages and notices
- Outreach and Stakeholder Management: Support outreach programmes, acting as the primary contact for donors and sponsors; Manage the donation process and foster positive partnership with external organisations; Enhance publication visibility through exhibitions, book-sharing etc.; Manage inventory, oversee circulation and liaise with contributing writers, authors, publishing house and designers on publication operations
- Online Publication Management: Maintain and update KMSPKS website and social media platforms with new publications (e.g. e-books, e-magazine etc.)
- Project Management: Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned and consistently meet deadlines
Job Specifications
- Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mass Communication or any related field
- Year(s) of Experience: 1 – 2 years of relevant experience
- Language(s): Proficient in English and Chinese with a commitment to accuracy in supporting content creation and other marketing communication efforts
- Required Knowledge/Skill(s): Effective communication and collaboration skills, Familiar with online platforms, social media and digital publishing tools, Knowledge of design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and photography (preferred), Good time management skills
- Creative mindset with a flair for storytelling and strong research capabilities for creating informative and engaging content
- Fast learner with ability to multitask and meet deadlines without compromising on quality
- Able to work on weekend(s), public holiday(s), or irregular working hour(s) when required
