The Data Analyst will manage the entire data analysis lifecycle, from requirement gathering to design and implementation. The successful candidate will:
- Develop and improve analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of past projects to identify area for quality improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to produce ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain the integrity of databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Ensure data quality by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to identify and correct coding issues.
- Work with management to prioritize business and informational needs.
- Identify and define new opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
- Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects), databases (e.g., SQL), and programming (e.g., XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
- Proficiency in statistical packages for data analysis (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adapt at query development, report writing, and presenting findings.
- A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
