Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance and Accounting will be responsible for all financial aspects of the business and managing a team of 11 with varied level of seniority and experience.
- Be responsible for the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, including financial and management, tax compliance and cashflow management/funding requirement
- Collaborate with senior management team to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making and lead the financial planning and budgeting processes, providing accurate and timely financial forecast and reports
- Manage the financial reporting and forecasting processes, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports and statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with Singapore FRS
- Ensure the finance and accounting department is compliant with the company's operating rules, policies and procedures
- As the key liaison with the external and internal auditors and banks, you will develop and maintain relationships with these external stakeholders
- Responsible to carry out high level check before authorizing payments to third parties
- Review quarterly GST reports and submission to IRAS
- Review corporate tax computations prepared by accounts staff and tax agent
- Continually review and streamline work processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Resolve any issues within the accounts department or involving other departments through discussions/meetings
- Liaise with secretariat agent on annual filing and board resolutions
Requirements:
- Min 15 years of hands-on accounting/finance related experience with 10 years of supervisory experience
- Previous experience/knowledge with GST submission and Local taxation experience/knowledge
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards and tax regulations
- Minimum Degree in accounting finance
