Learning and Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Learning and Development, to join our team and support our global learning initiatives.

Position Overview:

The Learning and Development Manager will lead and coordinate various learning and development programs globally, with a particular focus on developing and implementing standardized training across regions. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering talent development and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseas Manager Milestone Training Programs Coordinator:

  • Lead coordination efforts for overseas manager milestone training programs.
  • Collaborate with Regional Headquarters and Corporate Strategy & Services for standardized global operations and delivery.
  • Oversee management of multiple training classes worldwide.
  • Design, develop, and manage content for employee training programs.

Global Learning & Development Center of Excellence (COE) Project:

  • Serve as a project office member for the Global L&D COE project.
  • Assist workgroup with mid-term management plan alignment.

Hitachi Academy Talent Globalization Project:

  • Lead planning and organization of workshops for employees, enhancing globalization skills.

Talent Development, ASEAN Region:

  • Contribute to curriculum development for ASEAN Talent Development Programs such as the ASEAN Future Leader Summit 2025 and Young Talent Nexus 2024.
  • Spearhead initiatives to foster a strong growth mindset and customer-oriented approach.
  • Oversee the Hitachi Mentorship program, facilitating professional development opportunities for participants.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop learning programs and channels with reference to Technical and Generic Skills and Competencies (TSCs and GSCs) of the Skills Frameworks.
  • Create learning roadmaps with reference to Career Maps and Skills Maps of the Skills Framework.
  • Plan and execute organization development interventions to drive and facilitate change.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and engagement activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of organizational development interventions.
  • Plan and execute diversity and inclusion activities.
  • Develop communication materials and engage with stakeholders through various channels.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and develop customized learning and development strategies.
  • Analyze learning effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Implement HR transformation programs to improve service delivery and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with a focus on global training programs.
  • Strong project management skills and experience in coordinating multi-regional training initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, both written and verbal to conduct training sessions in English and Japanese.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing organizational development interventions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data.
  • Ability to manage team resources and performance effectively.
