Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and risks, and develop corrective action plans to mitigate them.
- Conduct HSE training sessions and workshops for employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Provide training on emergency response procedures, safe work practices, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure all employees are certified for confined space entry and work at height, where applicable.
- Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and ensure timely communication of findings and recommendations.
- Serve as the certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM), ensuring all fire safety protocols and emergency response plans are up-to-date and effectively implemented.
- Conduct regular fire drills and emergency response training.
- Act as the certified Confined Space Assessor, conducting assessments and ensuring safe entry procedures are followed.
- Perform assessments and provide guidance on work at height activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance during audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE processes and practices.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the safety culture within the organization.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in WSH or WSH Level C (officer).
- At least 2 years of relevant safety experience in the utility / manufacturing / logistics / marine industries.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM).
- Certified Confined Space Assessor.
- Certified Work at Height Assessor.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
