Senior / Finance Executive (4yrs exp/Dip/West/Tight Datelines/Fast Pace)

Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and ensure compliance with financial reporting guidelines, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory authorities and stakeholders as required.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze the annual budget in collaboration with department heads and management.
  • Monitor budget performance, variance analysis, and expenditure trends. Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Implement and maintain budgetary controls to monitor expenditures, track budget utilization, and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Develop financial metrics and KPIs to assess performance and drive accountability.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
  • Monitor aging receivables, follow up on overdue accounts, and implement strategies to minimize bad debts.
  • Maintain proper records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and supporting documentation. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data. Implement robust financial controls and procedures.
  • Administer grants and funding programs, including proposal preparation, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Manage fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal processes.
  • Facilitate inter-funds transfers and allocations between departments or projects as required. Monitor fund balances, cash flow requirements, and liquidity positions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, filings, and payments. Coordinate with tax advisors and authorities as necessary.


Requirements:


  • Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 4 – 5 years of relevant finance experience
  • Experience in supervising / managing accounting staff
  • Able to work in tight deadlines and fast pace environment
  • Good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
