Job Summary
As a System Analyst, you will be responsible for the maintenance of software systems and perform system problem solving. You will be part of an agile team responsible for products used by the Financial Industry and officers for Financial Supervision function.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and direct the day-to-day operations of IT services;
• Manage outsourced vendors and in-housed contractors to meet the delivery and operation needs of IT services;
• Manage change request, service request and production support issues and ensure service levels are met;
• Review system designs and technical specifications to ensure all requirements are captured to meet system objectives
• Review post production issues and identify root cause and work with vendors on preventive measures;
• Plan, execute and support system implementation, software/hardware upgrades and security patches;
• Manage the verification of software patches and upgrades for applications;
• Measure, monitor and continuously improve performances of IT services;
What we are looking for
• Bachelor or higher degree in IT or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in application production support on Java and .NET applications in both Unix and Windows operating environments;
• Experience in incident management, problem management, release management, root cause analysis and deployment;
• Understand SDLC and experience working with business users, various IT teams and vendors;
• Knowledge of web languages (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript);
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL) and application servers (e.g. IIS, WebSphere Application Server);
• Positive attitude and able to work under pressure;
• Excellent technical troubleshooting skills;
• Self-driven, creative and team-oriented person with good interpersonal skills;
• Sound understanding of the technical aspects of systems integration in an environment with diverse technology;
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required;
• Possess strong information acquisition, analytical and problem solving skills;
• Good organization skills and able to work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment;
• Certification or formal training in ITIL will be an added advantage
