Overview
Join our client's Financial Management team in Singapore as an Accounts Executive, supporting the operational and strategic financial activities crucial for the firm's objectives. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll oversee daily accounting functions of the Singapore office.
This is initially a 12-month contract role, with potential for conversion to permanent status based on business requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
Treasury / Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable:
- Manage payment requests and online banking applications.
- Review Chrome River AP and engage with stakeholders as needed.
- Prepare treasury reports, AP lists, and report bank balances to the treasury department.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy in AP upload to 3E, facilitating fund transfers.
- Maintain compliance with firm policies and procedures.
Tax Compliance / Audit:
- Aid in corporate and employer tax filing, collaborating with the Global Tax team and external advisors.
- Ensure statutory compliance where applicable.
- Assist Operations Manager in reviewing general ledger for local reporting.
- Support local audit preparation.
Others:
- Assist in implementing internal finance policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business support functions.
- Address internal financial inquiries and requests promptly.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc analyses and reports.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 4 years' finance experience.
- CA/CPA qualification preferred.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills to effectively engage with legal and finance teams.
- Independent, analytical, and numerically adept.
- Positive work attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and ethics.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Resilience to adapt to change and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in legal or professional services firms and knowledge of Singaporean tax and compliance laws.
