Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's goals. This role requires a deep understanding of the F&B industry and the ability to manage financial challenges unique to this sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against budgets, and recommend corrective actions.
4. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, profitability analysis, and variance analysis.
5. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning, ensure funds availability, and manage banking relationships.
6. Cost Control: Implement and maintain cost control measures, including inventory management and waste reduction strategies.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits.
8. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
9. Singapore GST Submission and Accrual: Coordinate the submission of Singapore GST returns and manage GST accruals accurately.
10. Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory and manage the liquidation of cash advances.
11. Financial Software Entry: Perform data entry into the finance software system with a solid understanding of the accrual basis of accounting.
12. Financial Statements Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statement, and Income statement, including their nature and basic logic.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the F&B or retail industry.
Technical Skills: Proficient in financial software and systems, including Yonyou, ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel skills.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in team management and development.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the F&B industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
