Job Descriptions:
- Work with other member of multi-disciplinary Engineers to review load profiles and design the Energy Storage System to meet load profiles requirements set out in the technical requirements.
- Develop, maintain and update engineering standards.
- Ensure compliance with Company quality program.
- Select equipment, components and materials required for BESS.
- Perform complex engineering calculations and problem analysis following standard methods and principles independently.
- Provide technical support to Sales and Marketing or Business development.
- Support multiple projects on the complex technical challenges.
- Develop and apply advanced engineering concepts and approaches to unique engineering problems.
- Develop battery container layouts, equipment arrangement and coordinate with electrical, civil and PV engineering teams for complete packages for installation.
- Develop single-line and three-line diagrams with required electrical details for the battery system in accordance with local codes and international standards.
- Calculate energy storage system performance/efficiently, coordinate, obtain and integrate BMS, EMS and SCADA designs for the battery system from third party monitoring companies.
- Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for owners, engineering firms and contractors.
- Design for different types of battery enclosure type solutions like cabinet type, container type, building type storage solution.
- Identify and quantify energy conservation opportunities associated with Batteries / PCS / HVAC / FFS for different enclosure systems.
- Investigate design factors such as but not limited to the function, durability, performance, efficiency, and contractual requirements.
- Other scope of work to be assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the areas of renewable energy systems, preferably with a specialisation in power systems, solar PV, battery storage, wind energy systems;
- Minimum Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
- Knowledgeable and experience on the different parameters for design, selection, and sizing of the batteries as well leveraging the parameters to optimise sizes of the batteries;
- Experience on battery energy storage system design, chemistry selection, performance modelling, lifetime estimation simulations of batteries, degradation and augmentation schedules, visualization of business model (duty cycle) would be advantageous;
- Strong project management skills and experience in an international, multicultural environment;
- Familiar with IEC, UL, CE and NFPA standards.
- Experience as a user of the AutoCAD
