- Provide comprehensive support to the project manager and lead quantity surveyor in managing contract documents, cost estimates, and overall project cost control.
- Assist in processing progress claims and progress payments to ensure project financials are accurately managed.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors for materials, machineries & equipment to ensure project requirements are met efficiently.
- Conduct thorough comparisons and evaluations of supplier/vendor quotations.
- Execute seamless order placement and generate purchase orders following meticulous evaluation and contract/quotation endorsement.
- Scrutinize purchase requisitions, offering valuable recommendations and alternative solutions as needed.
- Maintain records of purchased products, delivery details, and invoices to ensure transparent and efficient procurement processes.
- Generate monthly reports on purchased items to facilitate informed decision-making and budget tracking.
- Implement and uphold a robust purchase order system; proactively update supplier, price, and product information to streamline operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse personnel to monitor stock levels effectively and place orders promptly as required.
- Provide support in ISO audit documentation.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Core Competencies, Skills and Expectations
- Diploma or Degree in the field of Architecture / Civil or Structural Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 3 years industry experience in estimating and/or quantity surveying.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Flexible working approach due to deadlines and fast paced environment.
