  • A 24-months contract role offering 2 months completion bonus at 12 months for a candidate who meets the set KPIs. The benefits extended are also similar to that given to perm staff.

Our client is a top notch and international management consulting MNC. It is based in town (within 5 min walk from the City Hall MRT station) and the co also offers flexi work arrangements.


This is a 24-months contract role offering 2 months completion bonus at the end of each yr if the cand meets the set KPIs. The benefits extended to this cand are also similar to that given to perm staff. For this role, you are part of the finance team and will cover the following functions:


End-to-end Finance support for Client Projects

  • Prepare and support project pricing
  • Support RFP submissions (Requests For Proposal)
  • Review contracts for key commercial terms and assess tax implications/risks
  • Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition
  • Work closely with other Bain offices on revenue transfers for cross office staffing
  • Assist project management by providing data and analysis for decision making
  • Work with project leadership to issue invoices, monitor AR and manage collections
  • Support on revenue and other business-related reporting (KPI’s, management decks)

Financial Accounting & Compliance

  • Support the monthly and year-end closing activities (financial and management aspects) across markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support year-end audits, managing and coordinating audit processes, liaising with external auditors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Review/reconcile financial and management numbers for accuracy, suggesting course of action if any adjustments are needed
  • Review and ensure timely and accurate filing of GST/VAT/SST returns, including reconciliation of related accounts
  • Work with internal/external tax team on tax audits, tax refund process, includes preparing supporting documentation, resolving issues/discrepancies from tax office, monitoring progress, and updating leadership
  • Support the team on payroll related matters

Processes and Improvements

  • Critically review current processes, suggest improvements, and collaboratively implement improvements
  • Undertake and support adhoc projects, working alongside the team to implement changes while managing stakeholders

Background requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting with minimum of 7-10 years of relevant post-qualification experience (background in audit & assurance preferred)
  • Has experience covering 3 areas: 1) financial accounting operations, 2) FP&A and 3) process change/improvement project experience
  • Has some experience of drive finance/accounting projects, provide new insights and bring about process changes within the finance function.
  • Track record of delivering work on-time and zero defect; experience in a multi-geography/currency context preferred within a MNC environment
  • Ability to analyze financial data and think critically
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), ability to effectively communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures
  • Strong systems proficiency in Excel to synthesize data
  • Ability to understand concepts and data flows while offering opinions and ideas for improvement
  • Ability to learn financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Workday, Tableau)
  • Meticulous and capable of working multiple projects independently and as a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to change with a passion for results
  • An ethical individual that acts with high levels of integrity at all times
  • Able to commit to a 2-year contract assignment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • Very team based. Hands-on, committed, professional with strong stakeholder management skills
