You will be responsible for performing a wide range of HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, employee relations, training and development, benefits management, payrolling, and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Staffing: Conduct full-cycle recruitment activities including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and managing the offer process. Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent in a multi-site organization. Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and selection criteria.
- Employee Relations:Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support. Investigate and resolve employee relations issues; provide coaching to managers and employees. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Compensation and Benefits:Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group insurance, life, medical and dental, accident and disability, and pensions. Assist in the annual review, preparation, and administration of the compensation program. Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Performance Management:Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems. Provide guidance on performance evaluations and ensure timely and constructive feedback.
- Compliance:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain employee records and manage HR databases. Prepare reports as required by law or requested by management.
- Payrolling:Manage and process the company's payroll to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees. Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations.
Maintain and update payroll records and systems.
- HR Projects and Initiatives:Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed. Lead and manage HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll processes, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Experience with payroll software and systems.
