Department Description:
Within the FIC Middle Office “MO” operations of the Global Banking Support Unit “GBSU” Department, the MO Control team ensures booking quality of transactions and manages deal life cycle events to avoid any operational incident and risk.
Responsiblities:
Partnering closely with the Front office and all other support functions (Back office, Risk management, Finance management, GBSU IT), you will be responsible for the following:
Transactional control (primary bookings, secondary bookings, modifications and cancellations) based on contractual data and in particular:
i. Ensure the consistency of transaction with respect to pre-confirmations
ii. Control pending status in booking and ensure booking status to be completed
iii. Consistency check of transactions and positions that may include:
iv. Ensure control of booking and PnL impact from trade modification, cancellation and negotiation
v. Ensure consistency of booking after control validation
vi. Ensure trade life cycle to be managed on time such as fixing, exercise, expiry
vii. Alert the team if the trade/position anomaly is found and ensure corrective actions.
Support for new businesses and Asia clients that may include:
i. Participate NPC process to assess the operational impact and to plan required setup
ii. Continuous process improvement to meet business push and regulatory requirement
iii. Respond client calls to answer the queries and to follow up with respective teams
You will also participate in projects and transversal tasks such as:
i. Follow-up of transversal issues (systems, financial, accounting ...),
ii. Participation in projects for the security and reliability of the control system,
iii. Participation in automation projects and convergence processes of the team,
iv. Participation in impact analysis as part of the development of new activities,
v. Participation in the production of risk indicators (KRI) or performance indicators (KPI) of the team's activity.
Profile:
Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Good knowledge of capital market flow products - FX, Rates derivatives, Fixed Income, Money Market, etc
- 3-5 years’ experience in managing products and process in Capital Markets Middle Office
- Exposure in Middle Office functions and knowledge of Front-to-Back process
- Ability to communicate to different levels
- Ability to adapt to fast changing environment
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
