Job Responsibilities
1) Provide technical expertise and oversight throughout the construction process.
2) Ensure that construction activities adhere to design specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
3) Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design teams to review and understand project design requirements.
4) Ensure that construction plans align with approved design documents.
5) Implement and manage quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of construction quality.
6) Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues.
7) Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards in Singapore.
8) Stay informed about the changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
9) Participate in the selection of construction materials and equipment to meet project specifications.
10) Evaluate technical aspects of materials and equipment for suitability and performance.
11) Address and resolve technical challenges and issues that may arise during the construction process.
12) Collaborate with project teams to find practical and effective solutions.
13) Maintain accurate records of technical specifications, construction documentation, and quality control reports.
14) Prepare and review technical reports for project stakeholders.
15) Work closely with Project Managers, Contractors, and other Stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
16) Participate in project meetings to provide technical insights and updates.
Job Requirements
1) At least a Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
2) At least 8 years working experience in site planning and coordination works for building projects.
3) Professional Engineer (PE) license is an advantage.
4) Strong knowledge of Building construction sequencing, project design and planning parameters and authorities’ requirements.
5) Competency in cross disciplinary coordination and proficiency in scheduling works.
6) Adept at directing and coordinating members of the team by delegating tasks, resolving conflicts, setting project milestones, evaluating progress and promoting overall teamwork.
7) Capable of quick, logical thinking and able to react decisively to issues, adopt a proactive mindset when facing and solving issues.
8) Meticulous in planning and attentive to details.
9) Proponent of lean principles, actively seeking to maximize value and minimize waste in processes and resource management.
10) Believer of empirical data and measurement as basis of decision-making to improve efficiency and productivity.
11) Prior relevant experience in commercial / industrial / healthcare / institutional / government sector projects will be preferred.
