Summary
You will be responsible for managing the financial health and sustainability of the Club; all accounting, financial, procurement, and payroll related issues, including but not limited to statutory and management reporting requirements, audit and control. You are to ensure that timely and accurate reporting of all financial information within the Club to assist in effectively achieving performance objectives.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Treasurer, Finance, Procurement, and Audit Sub-Committees on the performance and strategic direction of the respective departments
- Handle all financial and accounting functions of the Club
- Formulate and ensure compliance of all financial and internal control policies and procedures
- Evaluate and streamline financial processes and workflows to enhance and improve the efficiency of the finance operation.
- Assist the General Manager in compiling annual budget and business plans.
- Oversees the process and implementation of the new Club Management System for Finance and Procurement.
- Business partner to the General Manager and all the Head of Departments.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors and facilitate the audit process.
- Manage the Club’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Monitor investment activities and manage financial risks.
- Lead and mentor the Finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Responsible for Purchasing function to ensure the Club secures the best or competitive prices on behalf of the Club
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies.
- Oversee the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring quality and cost effectiveness for the Club.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for the staff payroll function.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, ACCA certification or its equivalent.
- At least 8 years’ relevant experience with exposure to social clubs or hospitality environment.
- Experienced and conversant with financial accounting.
- Possesses relevant skill sets like strong management accounting and data analytical skills.
- Must be familiar with accounting laws, regulations and generally accepted accounting principles for Singapore.
- Preferably with payroll work experience and knowledge of related local payroll legislation.
- A detailed and meticulous individual
- Good communication skills and ability to present financial numbers concisely.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and finance-related applications.
