Job Description:
- Set up corporate tech. strategy (including tech. roadmap), Securing, building & protecting IP (including FTO). The CTO will have responsibility for: originating and developing technology strategy, originating and planning the Company's R&D budget, return on investment from R&D, technology development, managing patents and IP protection, administering and negotiating all technology related agreements including licensing agreements, and the Demo Plant budget and utilization in accordance with the Demo Plant Use Agreement.
- Further develop the long-term Nexlene Technology path forward: process, catalyst, products and applications, in order to: Maintain and/or improve net premiums through the introduction of new grades and applications; to improve efficiency, lower production costs and carbon foot print; Identify, develop business cases for, and prioritize R&D projects, Oversee projects to improve operational efficiency and reduce carbon foot print.
- Communicating technological efforts with partners (SKGC and SABIC) and Managing the external technology environment (universities and other research organizations)
- The CTO will be responsible to: Further scale up of the Nexlene Technology for successful plants startup and operation
- Approve R&D manpower and recruiting. Setting R&D Department KPI/objective and approve R&D staff objective and project priority.
- Oversee and Approve all R&D activities and operations with KNC
Job Requirements:
- Post Graduate degree in chemistry, engineering or related science
- Minimum 15 years of research experience on polymer product, process or catalyst.
- Management experience for 10 or more years
